Chris Kosmos is the Chief Executive Officer and owner of CSM Pacific. Located in Seattle, Washington, CSM Pacific offers innovative investment solutions for charities and non-profit organizations using life insurance plans. He also maintains a portfolio of select high net worth individual cases and has been in the life insurance industry for over 30 years. Mr. Kosmos is instrumental in developing the investment and insurance products used for financing these plans.

Chris has helped implement over $3 billion in premium of private placement variable universal life insurance; including the placement and administrative support for over $2 billion in premiums for institutional clients.

Mr. Kosmos holds the Chartered Life Underwriters designations and is a member of the American Society of Chartered Life Underwriters. He is a member of the Advanced Associated of Life Underwriters (AALU), where he is the Vice Chairman of the Business Insurance and Estate Planning Committee and is also a member of the Charitable Planning Committee. AALU provides frequent advice to legislators and government officials on matters relating to life insurance.

Mr. Kosmos is a life and qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table, and currently is qualified for Top of the Table. Round Table members are recognized as proven professionals in the life insurance industry and Top of the Table qualification signifies a high level of productivity.

Mr. Kosmos is Chairman of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the World Presidents Organization (W.P.O), whose membership must meet qualitative and quantitative criteria and exhibit a high degree of integrity in personal and business affairs and leadership qualities.

Active in community affairs, Mr. Kosmos was a Board Member of PONCHO (a funding organization for the Arts in the Northwest) for twenty-two years and a past Board Member of the American Heart Association, King County Division. He is currently an Overseer at Whitman College.

Mr. Kosmos co-founded two technology and services companies, including having served as Chairman and co-founder of Benefits Interactive, one of the first web-based insurance benefits management solutions. Chris attended Whitman College and received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington.

Dave Kraft | Chief Financial Officer

David has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, the past five years with CSM Pacific and Aiolian LLC. He is responsible for the pre-purchase analysis and implementation of corporate clients’ plans and is actively involved with the ongoing policy administration and related analytical services.

David has implemented the reporting and analysis systems used to support over $2 billion in employer-owned life insurance assets. A SAS-70 Type II Audit was successfully completed through February 2009, based on the controls in place to support these systems.

Prior to joining CSM Pacific, David was with the SAFECO Insurance Companies for 23 years in various roles including vice-president and controller, assistant controller, and tax manager. His experience with financial reporting systems and processes along with his tax background provide a wealth of knowledge to our clients in areas of financial analysis, corporate accounting, and taxation.

David received a Bachelor of Arts in Business with an emphasis in Accounting and Marketing from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington and holds the Certified Public Accountant Designation and is a member of the AICPA.

Lewis Hale | Chief Operating Officer

Before joining CSM Pacific, Lewis was the Managing Partner of a Seattle-based management consulting firm focusing on strategic and operational planning. Prior to that, he worked for over 25 years in the financial services area as the President and CEO of a fee-based reinsurance services company and Executive Vice President and COO of a major international reinsurance intermediary. Lewis has a BA in Economics from Whitman College where he is currently an Overseer and Vice Chairman of the Development Committee.

Amy Kosmos | Vice President

Prior to attending Foster School of Business for her MBA, Amy worked for Hale and Dorr Wealth Advisor as a research analyst. There she established and co-managed a mid cap portfolio, covered large cap consumer discretionary and energy stocks, and evaluated domestic mutual fund opportunities. Previously, she worked as a sales associate for Moors & Cabot, and as a financial advisor for American Express. Amy holds a Bachelors degree from Hamilton College.

Michelle Tillett | New Business Manager

Michelle has lived in the Seattle area for five years. Her primary focus is placement of new business with responsibilities including submitting applications, coordinating underwriting and shopping various annuity companies. She has five years of experience in the life insurance industry with a total of ten years in the financial industry. Since joining the CSM Pacific team she has built her knowledge on the corporate administration side. She is currently working on her certifications and furthering her education.
